My dear friend David Thame, one of the finest business writers in the western world, is touting a sweet little book, created in the handful of waking
moments he has spare from writing about industrial units in
Staffordshire. It's raising funds for Albert Kennedy Trust, who do very
sensible things for young gay homeless people in the big cities.
It's called Canal Street Gothic, after the celebrated Manchester party
street.
It's been very sweetly reviewed - funny, touching, "very
northern" etc - I haven't bought it yet, but will. David says he hopes it gives pleasure as well as helping with the
money.
You can find it on Amazon here. It's also in most sensible bookshops, and all the other online
retailers. Selling quite nicely so far.
